Platforms Supported for IntelliBar M and Mi Series Printers
Whether it's the IntelliBar Mi46 or Mi410 from the Mi Series or the M48, M412, M88 from the M Series printers, here is a summary of the platforms these respective printers support.
IBM System i, iSeries, AS/400
IntelliBar Mi Series printers integrate into IBM System i, iSeries, AS/400 systems using AFP with HPT.*
IntelliBar PCL label printers provide fast, high resolution printing and durable, long-life performance.
IntelliBar Mi Series printers emulate a HP LJ 4050 printer and are fully HP PCL5e, HP GL2, HP PJL and HP XL compliant. IntelliBar Mi Series printers integrate into IBM System i, iSeries or AS/400 systems over an Ethernet 10/100Base-T network or through a 5250 workstation with a USB to Centronics adapter.
No additional special application software, middleware, proprietary printer drivers or custom programming in a proprietary printer command language is required.

MacIntosh
The MacIntosh IntelliBar barcode label solution
IntelliBar Mi Series label printers attach to an existing Macintosh network via a 10/100Base-T Ethernet TCP/IP connection or connect directly to a Mac via USB. IntelliBar Mi Series label printers can be directly attached to a Windows PC via a USB connection or attached to a Windows Ethernet network via a 10/100Base-T connection.
Linux/Unix
The Linux IntelliBar barcode label solution
IntelliBar Mi Series printers emulate an HP LJ 4050 laser printer and are fully HP PCL5, HP GL2, HP PJL and HP XL compliant.
Linux users enjoy lower total ownership costs through the use of industry standard printer languages. IntelliBar printers use HP PCL, the world standard printer command language. By using PCL, IntelliBar printers interface with Linux operating systems without the need for additional special application software, middleware or custom programming in a proprietary printer command language.
Linux operating systems use the Common UNIX Printing System (CUPS) printer drivers. The CUPS driver for IntelliBar printers is the “IntelliTech IntelliBar Label Printer V1.5” driver.
The IntelliBar CUPS driver is packaged with most Linux distributions.

Windows
The Windows IntelliBar barcode label solution
IntelliBar PCL label printers provide fast print speed, high resolution print quality and durable, long-life performance.
IntelliBar Mi Series printers emulate an HP LaserJet 4050 laser printer and are fully HP PCL5e, HP GL2, HP PJL and HP XL compliant. Mi Series printer offer USB 2.0, 10/100Base-T and optional WiFi host connectivity.
IntelliBar M Series printers emulate an HP LaserJet III laser printer and are fully HP PCL5 and HP GL2 compliant. M Series printers offer Centronics parallel and 10/100Base-T host connectivity.
SAP for M Series Printers only
For IntelliBar M48, M412 and M88 printers only.
IntelliBar M Series Network printers print bar code labels in an SAP R/3 or later system using IntelliBar M Series SAP Device Types.
IntelliBar M Series printers use HP PCL 5 as their printer command language, which is a Hewlett Packard LaserJet III emulation. Thus, an IntelliBar M Series printer appears as an LJIII printer to a host computer system.
LJIII printers operate in the SAP environment by using the standard SAP HPLJIIID Device Type. Based on the SAP HPLJIIID Device Type, customized ZITC Device Types were developed to access the resident bar code symbologies and thermal printer configuration features of IntelliBar M Series printers.
